Evaluation
Have you inherited or would you like to buy an instrument? I will help you evaluate the price and state of the instrument via thorough inspection.
Would you like to know more about your instrument? With over 40 years of knowledge and experience with instruments that I can use to tell the approximate age and origin of instruments.
How it works:
- We agree on an appointment via e-mail or in a phone call, and you come to my workshop with your instrument.
- We kindly ask for images with decent quality and proper size. You can find a guide below that shows which perspectives we need to see to be able to give you an accurate description of the instrument. First, we will send you the invoice, and after receiving the sum stated in the invoice, we will send you the written evaluation via e-mail. If the instrument’s origin or value cannot exactly be determined based on the pictures, we will suggest you a visit to our workshop so we can examine the instrument in person. If the instrument is worth a substatial amount, I will once again suggest visiting the workshop, so I can thoroughly examine it and make a final, more accurate statement about its originality.

Prices
In person: 5000 HUF per instrument. With higher quality instruments the pricing may differ, and is decided on mutual agreement with the customer.
Via E-mail: 6000 HUF per instrument.

I can only give you a written evaluation if I can actually see the instrument in person, with the following pricing:

- if the instrument is worth less than 200 000 HUF, then the evaluation cost is 5000 HUF (per instrument)
- If the instrument is worth between 200 000 HUF and 1 000 000 HUF, then the evaluation cost is 3% of the instrument’s value.
- If the instrument is worth over 1 000 000 HUF, we need to find a mutual agreement about the pricing.
If you have an instrument that also needs repair or restoration, the evaluation price will be included in the repair costs!
If you wish to transfer the instrument to a commission sale, the evaluation's price will be included in the sale price.
